Caring for your Plumeria with florescent lighting and heat:
You can have blooms all winter long. Best of all it does not cost much
money. Just a common flourescent light and a small room heater will keep
your plants going while its cold and damp outside. A big bonus is your
Plumeria will not have to go dormant. So you can keep your leaves.
The picture below shows a simple little setup that anyone can do in a spare bedroom or even the corner
of a room. The florescent lights are kept on for around 15 hrs and the space heater keeps things around
75 degrees day and night. These are not special HID or other expensive lights, just plain old garage type
lighting.
Here are some results after just under 2 months of sitting in this environment. These were not outside then
brought in to the 'green house', they started right here!
